How to begin
You may add your profile or bio to this blog by requesting an author’s sign-on and password by direct messaging http://twitter.com/deswalsh or http://twitter.com/lonniehodge . We will answer you as quickly as possible.
We ask this of you as a participating Social Media or PR 2.0 Consultant:
1. You should have an active blog that you update regularly (we too are guilty of not nearly enough updates, but we’d like you to have a presence on the net)
2. You must have worked in or been active in Social Media or PR 2.0 for at least a year.
3. You must respect this space: this is a professional reference site and should be treated as such. You may include activities, events, club happenings, workshops and such, but please don’t bombard the site with self-promotion that detracts from others.
4. Create your profile to look as much like a social media release as possible: use video, photos, audio, etc…
5. Please upload all content as original. Only use embed codes or HTML pulls if you have no alternative. This wil prevent blank spaces and 404 errors if the host site goes down.
6. Add a link to your site in the blogroll AND in the body of your profile–reciprocity/quid pro quo is expected here. Add us to your roll as well.
7. Use the reminder list I have put in next to the post admin panel to guide you in how to best optimize your profile.
8. Stop by often and feel free to write posts here. There is strength in numbers and the more traffic we pull in the better your chances of being seen and hired…
9. Be sure to add your Twitter and LinkedIn details and use a hyperlink to the sites ( http://twitter.com/lonniehodge ) with your name as anchor link ( lonniehodge ) to
Thanks for beng a part of SM Consultants!

I am looking for a social media consultant to help me as I self learn. This is for a small budget and limited time investment. May lead to a more medium sized project for a company. Can you direct me to perhaps students or someone with a relatively low hourly fee to tutor me?
Regards,
Jill Mitchell
Cool project, with all the people running around out there claiming to be PR 2.0 social media consultants who don’t get it, how are you planning on vetting the folks who apply here? Social Media has become the next “get rich quick” scheme, wondering if you are looking at a vetting process. Just being curious and not pinging on you at all.
We have denied a few already as I told you on Twitter….It is a non-profit, but vetted (as best we can), service…..
How do I add my profile and post?
Can’t seem to direct message either of you…?
